The runic alphabet (Elder Futhark) was once used by the Germanic peoples. It is believed that the god Odin sacrificed his life to receive the knowledge of runic magic so that he could share it with others. The alphabet, made up of 24 characters called runes, was engraved in a variety of materials: wood, bone, metal and, most often, stone. Each rune has a specific sound and meaning.
Collect the runes and harness their power!
The Dagaz rune is associated with the idea of awakening and flowering. It symbolises a new beginning or transformation, just as the rising sun marks the start of a new day. It indicates a period of renewal, growth and enlightenment, balance and harmony. It is also associated with positive results and indicates a period of new opportunities. It can also suggest the need to let go of old patterns and accept change.
